Vice President
Putnam County Chamber of Commerce – Palatka, FL
Full-Time | Reports to: President
The Vice President of the Putnam County Chamber of Commerce is a visionary leader and strategic collaborator responsible for elevating the member experience and driving impactful programming that supports the region’s business community. This role is central to the Chamber’s mission of fostering economic growth, community engagement, and advocacy.Member Engagement & Experience
- Ensure a high-quality, responsive, and personalized experience for Chamber members
- Supervise the Membership Manager and Chamber Administrative Assistant to maintain excellence in service
- Oversee the accuracy and functionality of the Chamber’s CRM system to support member relations and data integrity
- Collaborate with accounting and the President to support timely and effective revenue collections
- Work with department heads and President to coordinate external communications
Signature Events and Programming
- Lead the creation and execution of four signature grand events annually, plus the Annual Meeting
- Oversee monthly Business After Hours networking events
- Develop new signature events that engage members and offer marketing opportunities for local businesses
- Coordinate legislative events in partnership with all department heads
Leadership & Community Development
- Direct and evolve the Leadership Putnam program to cultivate future community leaders
- Establish and manage networking councils tailored to municipalities and industry sectors
- Partner with the VP of Economic Development on workforce development initiatives
- Collaborate with the VP of Tourism on joint efforts that benefit both Chamber members and tourism stakeholders
- Support the SBDC and engagement of entrepreneur programs for community businesses
Governance & Advocacy
- Support the President in Board governance, government affairs, and advocacy efforts
- Represent the Chamber at public events, stakeholder meetings, and legislative functions
Qualifications
- Proven experience in event planning, program development, or member relations (Chamber or nonprofit experience preferred)
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities
- Familiarity with CRM systems and data management
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
- Passion for community development and economic growth
