About Us
The Arc of Putnam County was founded in 1974 by a group of parents seeking better lives and more opportunities for their children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. These concerned parents and advocates, along with others from across the country, set in motion national and state legislation and funding to address the needs for community-based services.
Today, the Arc of Putnam County maintains the belief that all individuals, regardless of their disability, have the right to live, work, play, and fully participate in the life of their community.
