Description
After a long break the Crescent City Yacht Club presents the 7th Annual Bear Island Regatta. A long distance race approximately 12 nautical miles on Lake Crescent, the third largest lake in Florida. Called the Bear Island Regatta since it is a race around Bear Island. The trophy is for the Golden Goathead, The Bear Island Regatta will be held on Lake Crescent. The course will be one mark to the north of Bear Island passing to port to a mark south of Bear Island back to the start/finish line. The length of the course will be 12 nautical miles and will consist of one lap or two laps depending on the weather.
