SUMMARY:High Life Jazz with EKR band and Buffalo Munn
DESCRIPTION:The Arts Council of Greater Palatka would like to invite you to our next Jazz concert of our "High Life Jazz Series". We are so delighted to present this evening of Jazz with the E.K.R Trio and Buffalo Munn on Saturday August 6\, 2022 at the Larimer Arts Center in the Scarlett Hill Theater located at 216 Reid St. Palatka\, Fl. Show starts at 7:00 PM until 9:00 and tickets are $10.00 at the door. There will be refreshments available. Please join us in welcoming talented and well-known Buffalo Munn as one of the band members. This will be an enchanting evening of Jazz said Rebecca Tyler of the Arts Council. \n\nThe Culture Shifters now the E.K.R Trio was an idea of percussionist Ernesto Pierson. He wanted a group of musicians from varied musical cultures to come together and play jazz. The thought is a unique blend of genres to create the jazz sound he is after.\n\nGuitarist Ron Werkheiser came to Florida from upstate New York and Pennsylvania where he performed with his Jazz Trio at resorts and shows.\n\nBassist\, Kieth Calcaterra\, is a sound engineer and owns Calcaterra recording studio. He brings a unique bass style to the group.\n\nTrumpet/Flugel horn player\, Buffalo Munn played a stint in the Army Band and has played with a variety of styles from big band to Dixieland.\n\nThe members of the band cover central Florida\, from Orlando area to Belleview to Palm Coast and Palatka.\n\nThe Arts Council's High Life Jazz Series at the Larimer Arts Center is happy to bring a flavor of jazz back to the High Life Jazz Series. The Arts Council is the State and County Designated Local Arts and is a 501-C3 non-profit organization. The Arts Council is supported in part by the City of Palatka\, the Putnam County Tourist Development Council\, and our patrons as well as from our programs like our concerts. So please come out and support LAA.\n\n For more info email artsinputnam@aol.com
