Dunns Creek Earth Day Open House
Join us as we celebrate open house by showing you everything that Dunns Creek State Park has to offer! Presented by the Friends of Dunns Creek State Park, Inc. this annual fundraising event offers outdoor recreation, primitive camping, environmental education, equestrian activities, boat tours and more. The event starts at 10:00am, however we have two early bird programs planed. First, join Carol Foil for a bird walk before the event starts at 8:30am. Equestrians – our poker run and scavenger hunt both begin at 8:30am. Tentative Schedule of Events: Dunns Creek Kayak Tour: 11:00am (Free BYOKayak, $20 rental) 10 Mile Bike Ride presented by Putnam Blueways and Trails CSO 2:30pm – 4:30pm Kayak Rentals: 1-4pm ($20) Boat Tours - $10 per person, $5 ages 14-7, 6& Under Free – for times and tickets visit Eventbrite. Nature Wagon Tours – 10-2pm Gopher Tortoise Program 3:00pm EQUESTRIANS: Poker Run 8:30am $10 per rider, cash only. CASH PRIZE Scavenger Hunt 8:30am $5 per rider, Win a t-shirt! PRIMITIVE CAMPING We only allow camping at Dunns Creek during special events, so now is your chance! Registration on Eventbrite is required. Primitive Tent and Dry RV Camping - $20 Friday 2:00pm – Sunday 11:00am Equestrian - $30 Friday 2:00pm – Sunday 11:00am Dry Camping, Vault Toilet, No Potable Water, Group Campfire, Quite Hour 11pm – 7am (no generators during this time), Due to space limitations, we are offering one fee regardless of how many nights stayed.
