The Arts Council of Greater Palatka’s Annual All County Student Art Student Show featuring art by Putnam County students has been scheduled for April 16-23, 2018. The art work can be submitted March 21, 11am to 4pm and March 22, 11am to 5pm (see below for other delivery times). If your student’s art is in the Putnam County Fair, we have scheduled 2 drop off dates after the fair, March 26th 11am – 4pm and March 27th 11am to 5pm.
We want to make you all aware this show will be available for your students to ‘show off’ their work produced during 2017 -18 school year. Having this show to look forward to could be a great incentive for your students to produce artwork they can be proud of. The opening of the show includes a morning reception for the winners and their parents and teachers on April 14th 2018.
Awards, ribbons and art gifts will be presented at the Saturday morning reception with breakfast, sponsored by Seminole Electric Cooperative Inc. from 10:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M.
All of your students are invited to submit art work for the show. There will be four divisions of competition (High School), (Middle School), (3rd through 5th) (Grades, and K-2). First, Second and third place prizes are awarded in each division. Each student may enter no more than two pieces of work, not to exceed 18”x 24” in size. All work must be identified legibly on the back with the student’s name, grade level, and school teachers name if dropped off by them, for home school students the Parent name should be listed, with a contact number. Art must be either matted or mounted on a sturdy board for hanging.

We reserve the right to refuse any work not properly mounted. ?
Two labels are required for each piece. One label must be attached securely to the back of each piece, the other label with the same information must be clipped to the art but not permanently attached. We will place the 2nd label on the front or beside the art after the judging is completed, so judges won't see student names.
The final deadline is Mar. 27th. Entries will be accepted at the Larimer Arts Center Wed. March 21 from 11 AM-4 PM and Thursday, March 22nd between 11 A.M. and 5 PM. Or March 26th 11am – 4pm and March 27th 11am to 5pm. Entries received after the deadline may not be considered for judging and will be hung at the discretion of the Gallery Committee, space permitting. Entries will remain on exhibit at the Larimer Arts Center through April 21. All entries must be picked up Tues, April 24th 11AM -5 PM, or Wed. April 23rd 11AM -4PM at the Art Center. We cannot be responsible for artwork left past the deadline, as we have no space to store them.
Please encourage your student body to participate in the Art Show and win a chance to join us April 14th for a fun event for the students at the Larimer Arts Center. Gallery will be open to the public for viewing April 16th throught April 23rd.
